Sam Maier – Attorney

Sam MaierSam comes to Capua Law Firm with a solid litigation background by way of positions at Hedrick Gardner, Kincheloe & Garofalo, LLP in Wilmington, NC. During his time there, Sam gained experience in litigation strategy development, as well as all aspects of trial preparation, including taking depositions, drafting motions and pleadings, and providing defendant representation in district and superior court.

Prior to that, Sam was an attorney with the International Maritime Group based in Seattle, WA. He provided advocacy on a variety of commercial and trade maritime issues, both from a transactional and litigation perspective.

Sam is a graduate of George Washington Law School (cum laude, with Honors) and a Thurgood Marshall Scholar. He is married with two young daughters. In his spare time, he loves being active outdoors with family – hiking, camping and playing sports.
